Ngizwe provides practical skills in theatre making and performing. The group meets three times a week. We expose the learners between the ages of 10-18 to a broad range of theatre techniques and roles. These include: movement, voice, acting and improvisation, and writing and dramaturgy.
We also workshop pieces of theatre from stories they discover in their own community. This was the way we developed our current play, “The Little One.” Workshopping theatre allows the learners to apply the skills they learn in workshops to actual theatre making.
